Glamping, which has emerged as a global trend, has grown exponentially in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain after it gathered momentum in the West. A recent Arizton report cited that the glamping industry is estimated to clock revenues of around $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion) over the next five years, with Millennials representing the fastest-growing demographic group among new Glampers.

Why the UAE?

Glamping has become a popular tourist activity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because it is a great way to experience the country's natural beauty by combining the adventure of camping with a hotel's comfort, modern amenities, and luxury.

The UAE offers a variety of Glamping options, from Yurts to luxury portable Glamping Pods which are fully equipped with A/C and private bathrooms.

Popular Glamping sites in the UAE include desert camps in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi regions and mountain camps in the northern emirates like Ras Al Khaimah and Hatta - Some of which offer a variety of activities such as dune bashing, camel riding, and stargazing.

Another popular Glamping option in the UAE is on its beautiful beaches.
